my second post

April 7, 2006
I’ve now set up my blog under the name “peanutfiend.” But it’s taking me a while to figure this whole out, namely, (1) how do people “subscribe” to my blog (assuming they want to) and (2) is there some way I can restrict it? It looks to me as if right now, anyone can read it, but I’d actually rather have it restricted to family. Hey, Ray and Olivia, do you know how to do this? Maybe I have to go on “myspace,” but doesn’t that mean I’m a teenage girl? Sigh, we oldsters don’t really understand this stuff.

Blogs are supposed to have opinions, so my opinionated question for today is, Why is that Homeland Security official who is a child porn addict getting so little press attention? Don’t they check the background on these guys? He could have been blackmailed, forpetesake, and a sleaze like that shouldn’t be hired in the first place—and he had a track record with Time magazine, so why wasn’t it checked? Even the Washington Post has the Cynthia McKinney thing (she hit a capitol policeman with her cell phone because he made her stop when she didn’t have her ID badge, big deal) on the front page and the Homeland Security story buried inside. Chernoff’s head should roll, IMHO. (That’s the sort of thing we bloggers write, yes?)

Okay, if any of you guys read this, post something! Love from peanutfiend

But feisty congresswomen sell newspapers. What does the American public want to read about? Apparently not Chernoff's ineptitude.

So, FAMILY, how about a roundtable? How about everyone dream up a Fantasy Summer Job for Ray? I think Ray should apply for the lead in the touring company of the Boy From Oz.
