Booker picks
Okay, having read 3 books from the long list, there was one I really liked--Secret River, about early convict/settlers in Australia--and one that was okay --
Carry On Down, about poverty and famly disfunction in Ireland (didn't Angela's Ashes already do that?)--and one that was stupid, Black Swan Green, about suburban kid who stutters. So now the first two have made the short list, so I was pretty close and lucky. Now reading the rest of the list; stay tuned for my picks!
And if you don't give a hoot about which book wins, then just check out Ray's blog about the outing trips and raids, very, very funny.
Next blog will be about Kano, not books. Yes, to the old comment, I do feel bad about Pluto. Pluto, you'll always be a planet to me.
